Impressions Day is an educational experience to serve as an opportunity to introduce both high school and undergraduate students to the demands of the dental profession. The goal of the program is to expose students to a career in dentistry in hopes of increasing the enrollment of underrepresented students. Members of SNDA offer suggestions to increase probability of gaining acceptance into Meharry Medical College as well as tips to succeed. Impressions Day activities include Dental Admissions Test (DAT) preparation, a tour of Meharry Medical College and an opportunity for students to perform hand skills of dentistry such as making impressions, extracting teeth and pouring models. Pre-dental students also have the opportunity to interact with faculty to enhance their admissions application.
